What is drop shipping?
 
"Drop Shipping" is used whenever a Seller doesn't produce EVERYTHING that they sell ....from their own production...but sell the production of others also....particularly producers who do not do any selling.....except through the firm with which they have "contracted". These "contracted" producers, however, often do their own shipping....which is called: "Drop-Shipping". (direct from the Producer ---to the---Customer............with the Seller receiving "Confirmation" of delivery.

....that is how I understand it.

What is drop shipping?

To put it simply: When the company does not have what you want in stock.... They will take your order and have the factory ship directly to you. This way the seller cuts down on their inventory because they can offer more products without the large overhead and warehouse space.

next time order from Porter's, he hatches his own birds, and is great to work with, plus has colors/breeds that you can't find anywhere else, MM lost my business a long time ago
 
Sorry to hear about the cancelled order--very frustrating.

Having worked in catalog company in the order/ customer service end for a few years, some times a customer needs to get past the service rep and talk to a manager. If that manager can't help you to your satisfaction, get to that person's boss. Go to the top if you feel inclined, until you feel satisfied. They have more power than the phone reps or customer service reps, and often more info on what's happening, so can help you, a valued customer, have a more satisfactory experience.
