i've heard that happiness you have to work on, peace and contentment is avaailable to anyone who lets their troubles go. I don't quite know if I believe this, but I never believed in love a 1st sight till i met my current wife

I am just curious with all the happily married couples, how do you keep it alive? I want another fifty plus with my kelly and hope love and happiness never fades.

I don't think there's a Perfect Marriage out there but I do have a most wondrous man who puts up with all my nonsense and still calls everyday to tell me he loves me. We have a problem, we talk about it (usually after I pout for a day or two). We respect each other, we agree most of the time on how to raise our many children and animals and we pick our battles. He figured out long ago that if he thought a dirty dish in the sink was offensive he might just want to figure out where the dishwasher was and how to load it while I try to remember that he does that everytime he gives me his rolled up socks to wash.

All I have to say is one pig-headed stubborn Pisces German man mixed with the fiery temper of his Gemini Irish/English lass...... makes for a volatile combo! And I would not miss this roller-coaster ride for anything!

We have good days and bad, but everyone does. Relationships require work, respect, and honesty.

We compliment and complete each other......

And to you who think this can't last; I have known my DH since I was 13. We have been together for 20 years this coming March, and married for 15 of those years.

And the 4 Irish/English/Germans we have running around just make the ride more adventurous!!!


OP; I am sorry for your loss. Nothing can erase that kind of pain but time.... I've been there more times than I ever wanted to be and it is heartbreaking.
