So Many Sea Monkeys!!!

A lot of ghost shrimp (there are different kinds but they all look the same to me) do well in brackish waters. The ghost shrimp I get do really well in my brackish dwarf mudskipper tank - even breed. Until my mudskippers get ahold of them anyway.

So far it's day 3 for me on the little guys. i have researched a lot and they don't seem to be that hard if you have enough salt in the water. they are very brachish and can only survive 24 hours in fresh water.

I could ship you little frozen ones.

Thanks for the offer, but I actually have frozen ones from my lfs. It's the movement of the live ones that simulates some fry to eat. Angelfish fry are like that too. I've really slowed down on spawning fish anyway, but if you find a local fish breeder, they will be happy to buy from you I'm sure!

i posted an ad on CL hoping to find someone. They are doing well and someone else may want to try these guys out.

nope. you've met your match.

I can't keep them alive, either.
I see they have to have salt water - I think that's where I went wrong...
How big do they get?

They don't get very big at all. Here's a pic of a adult:

Bet the chickens would eat them.. how big do the adults get??

It will depend on the strain of brine shrimp. The largest strain is no more than 3/4 an inch.

Small... but you could net some out and toss them with a bowl of some food for the chickens... extra protein for them!
