Best of luck!

I'm sorry. My parents car was stolen once, by a guy who was drunk. He didn't get very far, it was afterall the preachers car...it stays on empty alot.
The guy that stole it was arrested, and I don't know whatever happened to him...I was too little.
Maybe they won't trash it, hoping for the best.

Oh geez...I"m so sorry! I know how violated you must feel - our truck got broken into 3 times in front of our old house, and luckily I'm a night owl - I caught them every time. Called the police the first time and they caught them down the road but we couldnt prove it was them even though we desribed the car perfectly, we couldnt describe anything that was missing out of the truck. We "botched" their robbery before they could take anything so they had to let them go. We warned the police that if we saw them again (young 20-ish punks & dealers 2 streets over) that hubby and/or myself would give ONE WARNING before we shot (and not to kill but they *theives* didnt know that). Police werent too happy about it - however.... thats our right and they know that - they just told us we couldnt shoot to kill unless our lives were in immediate danger and had to give a warning, which is right, and we wouldnt have.

The 2nd time they came back we ran out and couldnt catch them but yelled "Next time you wont be so lucky, I have a gun and I wont be afraid to use it!". Guess they didnt believe us...because they returned a few nights later. The final time (all this in one week mind you) - they tried it again -and there we were - shot gun in hand, waiting. They started to try to take the tires off the truck and all they heard was "Move away slowly from the vehicle - I told you I had a gun - a shotgun and I WILL use it - and then hubby cocked it"

I've never seen 2 people freeze so fast in their lives. We called the police there on the spot.

It all worked out in the end. Would I recommend that for everyone? No, absolutely not... but.....

My friend's car was stolen and it was found about a week later. It had to be reupholstered where they had ruined it and some other repairs. Because she had her car "back" the insurance didn't want to keep providing a rental for her, though, for the weeks it took to get the work done. What a pain!

It is such a shame to hear of theft. I just had a guy tell me his rings were stolen from his bureau draw, the only things. What in blue blazes are people thinking? ugh.
I get confused how people think they are Robin Hood, take from the rich and give to themselves. Wait, Robin Hood wasn't that greedy!

This fella that had the 2 rings stolen, all the police said was "this was someone you knew, they knew right where they were"- excuse me, but that "friend" would not want to sit down for a week after I got done kicking ...
