So, my run stinks. literally.

Pics
I just realized we live kinda close to each other! I am in central Arkansas. We will be coming to Poplar Bluff and staying next weekend!
Cool! Will you be available some time Sunday for coffee or a sandwich,? (I don't drink coffee but maybe a Coke or something?)

And I did for 11 years. And THIS year a coyote got my BJG rooster, 4 of my seven BA hens and one BL hen. All in one day. 😢
ok, i am having second thoughts. but i don't know what else to do! i am out of fencing, and it will take a few weeks to get more 😩 I'm sorry. i have had hens laying there, necks hanging outside the main coop door. heads 10 feet away. i understand 🥺

so, will turning the whole thing into a coop work?
That could work as it would certainly be a very generous size for a coop. From the sounds of it they were already living that way, if they all weren't going inside the coop to sleep anyhow.

You'd still need to address any litter/drainage issues inside the space regardless if they're in there part time or all the time.

Hey! How’s the plan going? I’ve read this whole entire 7 pages. I think it’s a great idea to turn your run into a coop with of course ventilation, and cover from the elements. If it won’t be muddy and they have lots of space it should no longer stink. Hope you’ll post pics soon! ;)
