So sad tonight

So sorry about your rooster.

I had a beautiful big tame rooster that slept in the barn for over a year, free range. Then I got him a wife, she wasn't a good flyer, and very shortly thereafter both were gone. I blame the wife (and of course the wildlife). Don't know if the blame is deserved, but I miss that big rooster also...he used to come in a sit in my lap while I read the paper in the morning.

Best wishes,
VA

Oh, don't give the girls back! You know you love them! Just get them a new roo now and skip the part about giving them back and then getting them again. Too much stress for them, you don't want to stress them out do you? I didn't think so.
Whew! Well, now that you're going to keep the girls, what kind of rooster are you going to get for them?

lol...Tammy, that is at the front of our minds too...we will see what happens in the next week...they aren't even gone and we miss them...how silly is that!!!

But of course we insist we are not chicken people...hmmm, that could be a problem!! lol

Dad and I were holding out for some little ones in the summer...would have been kinda cute!
