Thank you!
I was beginning to think I was totally losing it and I have worked with animals professionally for years. I know shelter workers are wrong identifying breeds
a lot (there was a study done that found they were wrong almost 90% of the time). I still don't get how anyone could look at that picture and see "Shiba Inu". I mean it looks so far from that to me. It doesn't even remotely begin to look like ANY Shiba Inu that I have ever seen.
agreed, it doesn't really look like a Shiba Inu to me either, I can see how somebody could have made a mistake, BUT they should have corrected it, and maybe double checked BEFORE they released it because an animal behaving in that way and that friendly is usually either a) domesticated, b) sick, or c) extremely bold/brave and in any case should NOT have just been "released into the wild", ESPECIALLY the "wild" behind a HARDWARE STORE, WHY would you want a COYOTE hanging around there!?!, some people, i swear...
Yeah, I totally agree. Almost unbelievable. They had to have been breaking multiple laws in just releasing it. Really, a wild animal can become quite tame for a number of reasons, including that it is RABID. It is shocking that they would just basically set it loose. It must have crossed someone's mind that if it was indeed a Coyote, that something was really wrong with it.
Anyway, here is the picture again of the actual dog, since it is confusing with all the pictures posted....
Coyote (err..."dog" in question)...
