I don’t know that they did.. but I remember it being more full than this and the leaf debris would suggest dirty duck bills. I set it down this morning and forgot it.

Caffeine is dangerous for ducks. How much do you suspect they drank? Was it filled to the top before?

We have 5 indian runners . They are energetic enough on a good day I can only imagine what they would be like on coffee .

Coffee along with other caffeine-filled drinks/foods like soda, tea, or chocolate can cause serious problems in birds, as the caffeine often increases their heartbeat to the point, hyperthermia, seizures, and death may occur.

I ask when it happened, because just like us, caffeine absorbs fairly quickly into their body, so if it was this morning, and they're not showing symptoms, it's unlikely they will now. Sadly, if it did happen just now, I'm afraid there's not much you can do. In these case's vets are only able to provide supportive care, and administer drugs like Gabapentin to decrease seizures activity.

Keep a close eye on them for now.

Don't fret about it too much. Just keep an eye on them, make sure you're not seeing any abnormal behavior. If you do, call a vet.
