I've been changing the way the fence is set up. I moved it back so that Katie won't be able to chase car lights into the side of the house. Now she just sets at the gate and whines. I also leave the yard lights on which tones down the car lights as well. This also allows the back part to be expanded. I plan to keep expanding until I run out of useable yard, lol.

Need to finish dinner, ribs, pasta salad and greenbeans. One of Lurchies favorites

I'm working a poker run for one of my friends this weekend to raise money for her transportation and drug cost etc. I've been out looking for donations for raffles, auctions, door prizes,, and it really warms my heart when people are willing to give to support these efforts.

On another note, one of my students lost her Uncle this past weekend to a very fast moving and aggressive cancer. He was diagnosed the second week of school at the beginning of August and he lost his battle quickly. Keep her and her family in your prayers please?

Hiya vert! I bought a bottle of bubbly that we had (mostly me & my sis) DH wasn't feeling well, he caught a crappy cold from the rehab place. So my last day of radiation was anti climactic. DH was starting to feel better last night. I think I have the cold now.

I'm using Cold-Eeze so we'll see how that goes. I was busy moving furniture around for the new LazyBoy I bought for DH even hauling things upstairs

Why do men (mostly) turn into infants when they get ill? I couldn't wait to get to work today to have a little peace and quiet and NO DEMANDS. Because of the cold DH wasn't doing his excercises that's required of him to heal well. I was starting to get worried - oh no, please don't be a lump on the couch forever! Once the cold eased up on him he started his leg excercises and walking around more. *whew*

and the visiting nurse said he'll be fine and also gave him a few pointers. I was there too, so DH can't try to get away with anything.

I saw my chiro yesterday and next week I see my oncologist for a check up, then the next week the radiation Dr for a check up and last but not least the surgeon the first week of Dec. for that check up then I think I get the rest of Dec off from medical stuff/Drs.

Here I be!! We didn't get home until later than we planned. Puppy is sweet as can be and more puppy than we thought. According to the Vets papers, he doesn't turn 6months until next weekend. A whole 4 months younger than we thought he was.

Here is a pic of Lurchie walking them both at the rest area just inside the NC/TN border.

This is one of the good moments between all the craziness!

They are having problems adjusting. Think Silence of the Lambs!! That is what Kandu looked like on his way home!! Katie picked on him, then he would snap at there, nobody could move in the jumpseat without teeth showing so they both ended up muzzled. with a wall of heavy cardboard up between them.

A lot of it has to do with Katie being spoiled and Kandu being much younger and being bullied. Hoping to work it all out within a couple of week as I am, "She Who Must Be Obeyed"!!
Just ask Lurchie, lol
