You had a massive shock now, take your time to recover and wrap your head around it and when you're ready, talk to the doctors and ask questions! Ask them to let you know exactly what is going on, what they are going to do about it, what options you have regarding treatments, why they want to do what they are planning, what they are expecting to happen when they do what they plan to do, etc. And fight! You got a lot of fight in you, channel that anger and fight against this cancer. It CAN be beat! Give it your best shot. Do research into the different treatments, natural and hospital treatments and look at our options. And know you are not alone, we're here for you. Feel free to vent here. That's what this thread is for, support and understanding and sharing.

My GP phoned me this afternoon, he got my results and both came back benign

That's great to hear Sumi.
The long wait is over... Take a deep breath and move on.
Mamachic.... Hold on tight.

I have no words.... I'm sorry your not getting the news you hoped for.
But now you need to start the fight.
I find asking God for guidance helps.
Feel free to PM me if you want.
I'll always listen.... A freind.... Phil

There is no easy way to say this, or accept it. There was a misunderstanding about my results last week. I finally, after numerous calls to my GP and the hospital got them today. My GP asked that I come see him this afternoon, I went in and we talked. He spoke to the dermatologist… One of the moles was benign, the other wasn't. It was early stage melanoma. He said that I'm going to have a lot more of these procedures done from now on. I'm not sure how to feel about that. Basically it seems that I had extensive sun damage to my skin and that is now resulting in these, second one I had biopsied in under a year now. I'm going to see the dermatologist next month and find out what she wants to do... I'll probably have more surgery.

ETA: I got a letter from the hospital this morning. They've arranged an appointment for me to see the dermatologist on 16th November.
