There is no easy way to say this, or accept it. There was a misunderstanding about my results last week. I finally, after numerous calls to my GP and the hospital got them today. My GP asked that I come see him this afternoon, I went in and we talked. He spoke to the dermatologist… One of the moles was benign, the other wasn't. It was early stage melanoma. He said that I'm going to have a lot more of these procedures done from now on. I'm not sure how to feel about that. Basically it seems that I had extensive sun damage to my skin and that is now resulting in these, second one I had biopsied in under a year now. I'm going to see the dermatologist next month and find out what she wants to do... I'll probably have more surgery.
I know that was a shock and felt like a real let-down after last week. But, they got it early so that's a good thing.
