So....talk about.....CANCER SUPPORT THREAD !!

My mom lost her battle with cancer yesterday. she fought long and hard. My heart breaks but is eased with the knowledge that now she is pain free and living with God in heaven. Good luck to all of you that are still fighting the struggle. I will pray for all of you.

I'm so sorry. I can't even imagine what you are going through

Thanks Jan & Judy. I'm hanging in there. He's getting some strength back. Antibiotics worked for both things. He's got swollen feet from inactivity....also a bedsore on his butt....yeesh.

When we first got home, he went (with the walker) to use the bathroom....he fell down and I couldn't get him up on his feet, a dead weight. Had to call 911 for assistance....taking it one day at a time. Go Tues to Oncologist to see if we start up again with #2 treatment. Anyone else with an interesting summer?????

Judy - thanks for the info on Orgain - lots of protein! I may have to do some shopping. :) He gets all his food through the G tube. He can't swallow. He had a shot of vodka in the tube too

Ginny, how goes it? Thinking of you.

To everyone else as well, I am sorry for the struggles and hoping for strength and healing.

Thank you so much i appreciate it. Her memorial is tomorrow and I have made a great slideshow. I think this would be harder if I didn't know God and know that it was not goodbye it was See you Later. I still miss her terribly and catch myself trying to call her everyday but I know it will pass and I have wonderful memories of her.

Havent posted much recently, been very busy with major developments at home. So yesterday we went to the Oncologist, because Beth had been experiencing some new symptoms, and we and the doctor were concerned. He spoke with the Radiologist about the CT and Bone scans that were done earlier in the week. Beth has more tumors in both lungs and also in her chest lymph nodes. She had an MRI yesterday afternoon on her brain, and we don't have the results of that scan yet. As of right now, she won't be doing any more chemo. 181 treatments, over 11 years. Quite the accomplishment I think. When we get the results of the MRI, we will know more and if we need to do anything in that regard. We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.
