Hi Luna! Yes, I got back from North Carolina on the 4th of July. You are not loopy! It was a great trip! My mom turned 70, and is in really good health. All my sons came, and I got reunited with my sister. AND, I got to meet Ranchie!

I came home, and a day later, a raccoon attacked and killed one of my big hens. It was not a happy day. (Sorry, Opa, but some things really do qualify as a bad day.) I spent the week watching relentlessly for raccoons. I caught them in the plum tree a couple of nights, and gave them a power washing. They seem to be on vacation for now.

Hope everything is still going well for you. The heat on the east coast is absolutely unending this year. I didn't mind it while I was there, but I got to come home after only 11 days. Do you have a pool to cool off in? That seems essential to survival.

Well, we'll be here when you get done your treatment. Check in so we don't worry.

I agree the heat is unbearable. Even here in Maine, on the coast it is HOTTTT. The gardens are loving it though. If we don't get the tomato blight this year

I will have tomatoes up the wazoo. DH has discovered poo tea and is feeding EVERYTHING. The only problem is I don't have time to process everything.

Ozark - I can't imagine working in a place like that when it's hot......how'd you do it?

I would drop my hood and weld while tears ran down my face. LOL I was also having hot flashes and a major "pity party". LOL You do what you have to do, just reading these posts by these very brave women makes me ashamed of my "pity-party". God Bless each of you. I keep you all in my prayers.

Got #5 out of the way

. Got home at 2 pm. So I dug over my compost heap and sorted it out, now I'm going to go sew a little (still on the dex)

AND we got rain! A good soaking rain, with lots of thunder!! Just in time too, our trees were starting to drop leaves.

haven't read all of this thread ..hope you are doing well lunachick. i just found out today i also have uterine cancer. don't mean to steal your thread. just feel better knowing i am not the only one. know what i mean .
