When I get my chemo {Taxol} on fridays, I wasn't eating friday, saturday, sunday and sometimes mondays from feeling sick. My doctor put me on marinal which is pot pills. Now I'm eating and with the food in my system I have more energy and I feel better. I think my body is getting more used to the drug.
I found out friday was my last chemo. I thought I had one more treatment to go but I was wrong. Yahoo!!!!!!!!
I still have to get a non chemo drug every 21 days called hercepton and then radiation. My cancer was caused from estrogen. I was told if my cancer spreads it will go to my liver or brain. I didn't like to hear that. For everyone getting treatment right now, you guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong.

Sara!

Be careful with the herceptin and radiation on the same day. My mom had a drive to get to the places, so the would have her go from oncology to radiation...The burns were extremely bad. Do whatever you can to put some space between them.
I hope all the bad cells are gone! Blessings!

Ginny, I've been awol for a bit - another very sick pet on my hands, with no one yet able to figure out what's wrong, and I'm scheduled to be out of town for some days starting tomorrow (a rare event) and trying to sort out whether or not that's happening.

Thinking about you and others on this thread enduring or having endured similar and looking forward to the day when it's behind all of you, a distant fuzzy ol' memory!

Cooler in NJ next week, or so they say!

Will check in when I get back, if not sooner.

JJ

Hi JJ! Thanks for checking in. I hope it's not too serious for your pet. It's not one of your chooks is it? Is the pet going to be alright?

Hi Julie

Nice "seeing" you again!

Coyote - I was wondering too (about the itchy part) glad to know I won't be sweating bullets trying not to scratch in public. I already have a tender scalp that keeps me scratching or rubbing my head.

I'm doing a last buzz cut on my head today, gotta get rid of the little whispy stragglers that make me look like I had some kind of electrical shock. This way my hair will be even as it grows in. I was just telling Sara I lost my last eyebrow hair and have 4 hairs left on my other brow, and about 4 lashes left on each eye. Between my nose running constantly and things getting in my eyes - I'm going nuts! Come on hair!!

We sure are sharing the rain with you Ginny........... all day today and tomorrow.........i love it. I have 4 barred rock babies and this is their first rain too.
They were so smart and went inside when it was coming down hard. I hope your feeling good in your rest phase.

Hi Wendy! Yes, we're getting the rain today too! So glad your babies were smart enough to get out of the rain, mine were'nt......I ran out in the rain to staple plastic on their run. They were huddling in a corner peeping. And last night I pulled up a chair to watch them go into their coop. Did they go in? NO. They were doing the LOUD PEEPING and watched the big girls go into their coop and they stayed huddled in a corner again. It was getting dark so I crawled into their itty bitty run and scooped each one and showed them how to get up in the coop. I think I have to do this until they figure it out themselves. But I don't mind.

Wed I saw the surgeon and he said everything looks good. But he wanted me to do the CA125 blood test, so I had that done on Friday. I guess they want to be sure I'm totally cancer free before I start radiation. Or they need the test results to compare to? Not sure, and like a dummy I didn't ask. I think I'll blame that on "chemo brain". So I'm hoping when they get the results that no news is good news.
