:/our flock hasn't produced 1 single egg.i got them in the first week of April ,are they not ready yet,and what signs should i be looking for.
the flock eats well, plenty of room to roam and a top of the line coop.what am i doing wrong??????
they are spending more time in the coop lately, which is a kinda odd.

Anytime now, they may start. The average is 20 mos old, but it can vary....some take longer. You will see redder combs, a squatting behavior, a new interest in the nesting boxes........

It will happen......Start feeding layer feed and some crushed oyster shell too. That helps promote strong eggshells!

Whoops! I'm sure the poster meant 20 weeks. The combs and waddles grow and turn red. And sometimes when you reach a hand out they will squat as you pet their back. This means they are ready to mate...and THAT means they are ready to lay

Some lay when they are a bit older, depending on your breeds. Just keep watching and have faith!
