At what age can you tell what type of quail and sex? When I got my incubator it came with courtnix eggs. 15 hatched out. You can see them here:

Just wondering what type they are and know I am looking for Jumbo A & M Eggs to hatch out.

Browns and goldens are easy 2-3 weeks out I can usually tell who is what . I have an english white I have been calling popeye he is about 7-8 weeks old and popeye just started laying eggs a coupla of days ago I have a few rosettas and range colored birds this time as well as tuxes and they are just starting to crow and all at about 4-5 weeks now. what color are your birds?

you might want to wait until they are 3-4 weeks old it is easier to tell the females have speckled breasts the males are kina rusty reddish brown

The ones that you have there are wild type Coturnix quail. Also known as browns or Pharaoh quail. At the age in the photos it is to early to tell the sex of the birds but you have one of the easiest ones to tell the difference once they get older. Congrats on your hatch!!

Female (see all the speckles on her chest?):
