So, what do we all do with our first eggs?

HeHe, loved the video...

I scrambles up my first egg it was sooo good ...
now the comparison between store bought and fresh is very noticeable...

Thanks. I'll have to take some new pictures of Paula to go along with the egg pics. She's quite a looker, and I should have known she was getting ready to lay...her crown and wattles have gone from dull to brilliant red in just the last few days.

What a pretty color!
I got two more eggs yesterday! It looks like my Buff Orpington has finally joined in on the action. Another tiny egg! Maybe the next one will be bigger. I'm saving the little ones for an omlet.

Wow I love the Dark brown ones and the contrast of the BR egg too! Now ya need an EE for a really wild egg basket.

On Monday evening (2 days ago) I brought home my first "flock". There were 5 New Hampshire Reds, and 3 Road Island Reds. I didn't expect eggs for at least a few of days after moving them. The very next day, I went out after work and found these:

(actually, there were 4. One was in a different nest)

I ran in the house and grabbed the cast iron skillet and a hunk of ham. Nothing better than ham and fresh eggs for dinner! :)
