SO, What's everybody got in your incubators?

i have dozen plus phoenix eggs from napalongtails in my brooder. i also added some of my mix flock's eggs in there since they carry the genes of my roo that recently got killed.

i'm really looking forward to this bunch. and then the end of this month i should be getting marans eggs from bev in florida.

i'll be in chick kingdom pretty soon.

I have mixed breed bantam eggs in my hova bator right now. They should hatch around the 21st. This is the first time I've used it so this will be a test to make sure everything is running properly. I just got a second hova bator, and I hope to soon be collecting Mottled Japanese eggs to hatch. Just today I came across my black tailed buff Japanese sitting on some eggs. She laid them in an old, no longer used horse feeder that is filled with alfalfa! Although I'm not sure if I'll let her hatch them or not, I've always had a problem with the hens leaving the babies at night while they go to roost up high, and the babies freezing to death.

I started out with 50 eggs, now I'm down to 38 and I'm candling again -- for the last time -- tomorrow.
(Can you tell I'm excited?!?!?!?!?!? What gives it away, besides 18 bajillion exclamation marks?)

I have 32 RIR eggs in! This is my 3rd hatch, this batch is for a friend who recently bought a new home with a few acres and wants fresh eggs from her own backyard! I have two other people who each want small flocks that I will hatch some for when this hatch is done... I love it! I am a city gal who wound up living in the country and I am learning all I can about the feathered friends I share the farm with! What a great forum and site to learn on!

How is everybodies hatches going? I am still going strong. I have some bantam salmon favorelles that are hatching today and moving some black rosecomb bantam eggs to the hatcher today also. Then I get to set another batch of eggs in the incubator, lots of my lakenvelder eggs, bearded silkie eggs, and my first duck eggs of the season. Keep all the updates coming!
Happy Hatching everyone,
Christie
