So what's your chickens favorite...yet weird treat?

Mine went absolutely nuts over my homemade vegetable beef soup! I've never seen them eat anything like that before! Not sure if it's a good thing or not!? LOL!

Party Melon!?!?!?!! That was hilarious!!! Almost makes me wanna let one go south in the fridge to give my hens, just to see them get silly......(I wont, but it would be funny!!!)

tofu, veggie burgers, peanuts, lots of things I never would have thought. Its funny to watch them eat tofu and get dirty faces plus fling it on each others feathers in the process.

Pizza crust, cinnamon raisin bread, turkey and the grossest one is those big, fat white grub things

yesterday i gave mine left over steamed salmon w/ broccoli /peas and greenbeans it was all out war on the treat dish! then they went absolutly nuts over the big pie pan of sand i put in! .......dumb birds

Mine love wild clover that grows in my yard along with fried chicken and fish filets. I gave them a chicken neck when I made chicken noodle soup and it was gone in a matter of seconds. I don't feed my flock any uncooked meats. Feeding them mashed potatoes was funny since they got it all over themselves.

But I have to say the most favorite thing for my flock is tomatoes, they go crazy for them! Wild mushrooms is another favorite for them.

My chickens like eating their own fallen feathers plus pizza

Well, my babies are just turning 8 days old today, so they haven't really had treats yet. I tried to give them tiny specks of american cheese last night but they didn't seem interested. Then today I went back to play with them after dinner and found half a tater tot in the brooder. When I started laughing and asked how in the world the tot got into the "chicken house", my 14 year old daughter told me that she thought maybe they would enjoy a treat so she threw it in for them.

I hate to think what she may try to feed them next...LOL

Mine got some rice with carrot and potato soup this morning. They were a little skeptical at first, but then gobbled it up.
