Congrats they are adorable babies.

Still waiting on the new babies here, 6 are out and there is another pip, all black javas. Nothing from the only 2 cochins that weren't clear.

After 18 months with chickens, I finally bought a hovabator! I have guinea eggs in there now, and will candle tonight and replace infertile ones with chicken eggs (Australorps and Australorp/Rock hybrids) so they hatch at the same time. I know, probably shouldn't get tricky the first time out.

i have candled my 8 silkie eggs for a second time tonight and my origional thoughts where correct 4 good and growing 4 not doing anything 2 with bloodrings two completely clear

Day 23 for my broody and I saw a teeny yellow head pop out from under her this morning!

She is still sitting tight on the rest of the eggs so I'll get pics as soon as I can.

She just got off the nest and I got a good look. One hatched, one dead and the other 3 eggs don't look like they are going to do anything. I'll leave her be for a bit before I attempt a clean up. Still happy with one though!
