I used the red clay in another rebatch! I think I may have added to much because it is darker then I would like it. Next time I use it in a small batch I will go a little less. I'll post pics tomorrow.
Update on MIL. She is going to take one of my plain soaps to use in a wash cloth thingy that she is making. She wants to make a soap bag. At first I think she was going to use one of the soaps she had already bought for the basket. All those soaps were swirled and stuff not plain. I made it clear that I really didn't like the idea of her covering up my hard work like that. So she is going to use a plain bar in there now. I want people to see the swirls not cover them up. These people that are getting this basket are kinda upity in the first place so showing the swirls would be the better approach. If you cover it they more then likely won't open the bag. I think what is happening is that she is trying to hard to make this a nice basket. She seems to be forgetting that these people are not from the same lifestyle. The basket would be nice for one of our family members that aren't stuck up but not for people who only want to buy the best. The girl that is getting married has used my soaps before because her mom buys them. Her mom and sisters all like them and so does she so that part I am not worried about, its the rest of it. But DH reminded me that it was a business transaction and that I should just let her do what she wants. Then he quoted the don't mix business with family thing. And now it makes perfect sense. I do know that I did put some of it back into perspective for here though so that she doesn't go as overboard as she was doing.

Well chickn' I think the thing that you are erring on here, and only thing is in the ability to get the point across to your MIL that it is considered "boutique" to purchase handmade soap.

How about, creating a nice hang tag with all your info punch a hole in the end, wrap one soap with raffia or a pretty translucent ribbon, string the tag on, tie a knot. And then just give the batch to your MIL like she wants them. Make peace in the family.
Stick a small scent label with your business name to the back of each bar by brushing on a small bit of melted clear glycerine soap...
