Soap Makers Help!

I made my tablecloth yesterday! It is a harvest theme. Pumpkins and sunflowers. I am waiting to take pics though because my banner will be here tomorrow!!! WOOHOOO!!!! I'll take the pics tomorrow.

How cool! I bet that will be perfect, it does sound very fallish! I picked up some used table linens today. I got 2 for a 6-8 ft table for $14. Seemed high to me, but they are really nice quality and go all the way to the ground on all 4 sides. Better than the $72 a pair they wanted new! There are two small stains, but they are small, like the size of a pencil eraser.

I got some more lotion base in so I'll make moe of those friday. I was going to soap tonight, but The vendor next to me was a smoker and I have a big head ache now. I left early and I'm going to lay down. Talk to later.

I payed a dollar a yard for that fabric. $4 for that table cloth! And it was the last of that pattern. I'm sorry you got a headache from that vendor. My DH and I used to smoke a lot but we haven't smoked in almost 3 years now.
I made my soap swap soap last night before going to church. I hope you all like it. Its a variation of BirdBrain's basic soap recipe with a couple natural things added. I might post a pic later.

I don't think I ever said thank you for posting your pictures on your displays! I've been thinking of making several and sell them for our church....there is a festival (Octoberfest) here in Dumas and these might sell well....

Do you make your own little bags for the soaps or purchase them somewhere... < cheap

I think we here at BYC are keeping this company in business...the last batch of muslin bags I ordered were STARCHED and PRESSED!! It was awesome....easier to put the soap in. First time...I've ordered them and they were pressed like that!

Food Grade packaging is the best bet for soaps...I stick to that...and I only purchase made in USA to ensure NO harmful chemicals etc are added to the product packaging. I have new packaging that I'm working on too...corn COMPOSTABLE bags. For those that want to SEE the soap...

The shows are so fun!!

I'll post pics of my new molds I made...they are awesome!! (-:

That looks nice!

One last essential oil question-I went through the reference thread but couldn't find any distributor with the scents I was looking for... does this look like the 'right' stuff?

Both of those are fragrance oils, which means they are not all natural. Essential oils are made from the plants through several different methods. If you are looking for those fragances, try this site, http://www.fragranceoilfinder.com/catalog/index.php

I have seen tea tree essential oil, but not White Tea essential oil. Most of the places listed that carry eo's will have a ginger one.

Cheeptrick Nice mold! I like that yu can use it as a slab or log if you want to do different soaps. How do you line the dividers?

I lvoe the little muslin bags too. I'm going to have to place another order in September so I have enough for the ren fest.

Corrie, can't wait to see the soap and the table cloth!

I made some bath salts a little while ago and I'm going to offer those this weekend as well as the soap. DH is ordering my boxes next week I can't wait to get those.

ETA: I am so ready to scream! Fedex said that my banner was supoosed to be here tomorrow and now they pushed it back a day. What next another two days. It isn't even that far away. So now it won't be here in time for the market Saturday. I never did care for Fedex much. Every time I've had to go through them I end up having problems. This sucks. And I was all excited to.

I line with freezer paper inside the mold and then I wrap the wood dividers like presents and slide them into the soap...I cut them so they are tight in the mold and when the paper is added it is very snug and no leakage happens. I'm thinking of using silicone caulking in between the boards before nailing on the next one...I'll have 3 molds very soon. That will make a total of 9 types of fragrances and 4 with my older molds...I'm ALL set I think. NOW to get soaping!!!!!
