Snow, yuk!!

I've already pulled all my rosemary plants. Repotted one. Rosemary doesn't do well for me since we heat with a wood stove. I'm hoping to keep this alive until Christmas so I can give it to my future DIL. Sage is still in the garden. I'll be harvesting more of that to dry tomorrow after farmer's market.

Good Luck at you craft show!!!

Well that sure was a stinky turnout! I sold $34. worth of soap

All of the vendors said it was the worst turnout in yrs. The only other soap vendor said he only sold 11 bars. He was in the main building. I was in the fire truck bay.

But I got to visit with my MIL all day

That bites. It was a slow day at Farmer's Market also. I think I took a total of $35 home (after trades of some soy candles, cranberry/white chocolate cookies & some cranberry/pecan/cheesecake bars) YUM!!!

I'm making soap tonight. I need a second batch of Lake Effect Snow as well as a second Oswego Tea and Lemon Balm. If I get them done tonight it'll be ready for the holidays. It's crunch time now for having stuff ready...isn't it? I'm already planning Valentines Day gift baskets:) (Honey Do, Naked, Love Struck...etc...) Then of course the spring line....and summer scents....I'm not done yet!

Hi! Next time will be better.
I don't like the texture of my 'hot process' soaps. The first 'hot process' batch (the special-order lard-only batch) dried nicely and was a hard soap within a day, but the other 'hot processed' batches (the nice soaps) stay soft and spongy, even after a curing time under a fan. Live and learn.

Teaching a soapmaking class at the community college tonight, I only have 10-15 students. I've had my daughter & granddaughter visiting the past 5 days so I haven't been able to get things set out fot the class. I'm going to have to cram it all in today!

Okay, my 2nd public appearance with soap is this Sunday. It's a small open house with just a handful of local artisans. We've done a press release and flyers and FB of course. I'm kind of nervous because it's mostly people who know me...or my friends...or their friends.
I also handed out flyers at the last show, so may pick up a few from that.

I want to do a raffle table for the Carol Baldwin Foundation. I'm donating a few soap gift baskets. Is it rude to ask the other participants to donate for the raffle? Should I keep quiet and hope they step up?
