I just realized that I forgot to add my labels!
Mine will be the yellow soap in the little yellow paper bags. (I could not find my regular soap boxes in my storage building for love or money!)
It's a Goat's Milk Lanolin Calendula bar, unscented, plain-ish, but very kind to the skin.
I started with Olive Oil that I had double-infused with dried Calendula blossoms. I also added some dried Calendula to the soap, which did lend the soap some of their lovely yellow color.
I used all Goat's Milk for my liquid, no water, and I let it gel.
This was one of my "kitchen sink" recipes, where I used lots of different oils. I have no idea why I do that sometimes, but I do. This one has:
Coconut Oil
Palm Oil
Olive Oil
Then equal amounts of:
Sweet Almond Oil
Apricot Kernel Oil
Avocado Oil
Cocoa Butter
Jojoba Oil (which is really a wax)
Rice Bran Oil
Shea Butter
Wheat Germ Oil
Then a whopping pound or so of Lanolin, a bit of Beeswax, and a splash of Evening Primrose Oil at trace.
My basic soap recipe that I use for most batches has about 6 oils and butters in it. For some reason, this one has a dozen! Who knows what I was thinking...maybe I had some jugs that were almost empty?
Regardless, the result is nice.
