I swear I did not pay a dime for the sod

, they paid full price for the amount I bought, because that what they ordered, and what left over, they told me to get red of it

Omran, I was totally going to do that the other day with some left over sod!!!

Can you do us a favor and keep us posted on how this progresses?

Honestly, a LOT of people want to know how quickly a bunch of chickens will decimate lawn and this is a perfect test. So, if you don't mind, let us know how many chickens and are you using all 12 sq. yds?

Keep taking pics, I'd love to see how this goes. In fact, if your test is fun / successful I may go buy 15 sq. feet of sod and put it with my hens on a time lapse camera to see how they do with it.

I'm wondering how they'll do with weeds. It's time to til my garden and right now it's full of weeds. DH usually puts weed killer on it a few days before we til, but I'm thinking about going out there and scooping up a few shovelfuls to give to my girls. Even if they don't eat the green stuff, they'll probably enjoy tearing it up and scratching through the dirt that holds it together.

That sod sure makes a pretty coop and backdrop for photographing your chickys though.

My hens do an AMAZING job at weed abatement.

For example, which side of the fence do you think they live on?

i used to worl landscaping and we would do this every other week boy do they like it and eventually it started growin hahaha

That's chicken heaven right there!!!!

We had a few extra chunks last spring. I tossed them in the run for them. In a day there was nothing left but a few chunks of dirt!

I can't wait to see more pictures.
