Soft egg?!?

This is the first my duck has laid a second egg within 24, also the first she's laid an egg outside, also the first soft egg we've experienced. It's like it has no shell. Feels like a water balloon... I realize it would just shrivel if put in the incubator. That would be silly. But is it edible?? What do you do with soft eggs? Why do they happen? She just started laying eggs about 6 weeks ago and has laid daily.

It happens just a fluke. Just make sure she’s getting a good supply of calcium and don’t worry unless they start coming often. I don’t eat soft shells I toss.
