soft eggs

I found a soft egg shell this morning. Is this the beginning of laying for one of my pullets? I found a soft shell a couple of weeks ago but the next day found a normal egg. So, I am hoping this is the case too? Or, there is a pullet just laying soft shells.

Sounds to me like you should increase the amount of oyster shell your feeding

Yes, early layers tend to lay soft-shelled eggs often in their first year. Try oyster shell. We notice some amount of difference. Good luck!
