two choices
set a shorter close date if you want to auction and wait the whole time (only fair)
or put up a buy it now type instead of auction
otherwise it will run the whole time

You can close the listing. At the top of the page where the info for the listing is at, there's a 'grey' box. Inside this box is all the info for the listing, price, shipping, photo, etc. At the bottom right corner of that box is a button that says 'close listing'. There's nothing saying you can't sell early or that you have to wait til the end of the listing.

If you have a bid, you can't close the listing. That is not fair to the person(s) bidding.

The auction will run it's course.
