I use the pigeon spot on for any lice issues that I may have ~

Listen, be careful with the DE.
DE is very dusty, and is harmful to lungs; it can hurt your chickens.
It also is ONLY effective when dry, and does nothing when eaten;
You can use it, but I wouldn't hold much hope in it doing very much.
You definitely need something designed specifically for this problem.

Yesh it wont solve this problem, obviously. But it will keep healthy the chickens that take dust baths. And it does prevent worms. I used to worry about tge silicon in it and lungs and guts and etc. But I realized the chickens are only alive 2 or 3 max 4 years anyway and silicosis and etc.is a long term disease. They just don't live long enough to worry about it.

Excellent, I looked at that. Due to it not being for poultry it doesn't give dosage or withdrawal periods - are you able to advise please? I've had them a couple of years but still feel too much of a novice to freestyle it

It definitely appears to be a pretty divisive product.

Sevin Dust works well. I have used it for plants, goats, dogs and chickens.

@Charlotte D - I am in the UK and you could look for 'Johnson's Anti Mite Extra for Cage Birds and Pigeons'.

It's the only bird-safe spray I've found here which has permethrin in. Not for chickens but best option I have found.
