Solstice Eclipse

I think it will be covered with clouds here as we are scheduled for a snowstorm from now through 6 a.m. tomorrow. I am SO bummed.

Hope it's OK to add another idea here. Is anyone familiar with NewGrange in Ireland? It is a burial mound with a passageway and chamber that was built (and restored) to receive morning sunlight only at sunrise for a few minutes each year a couple of days around Winter Solstice. They taped an hour long special in 2007 that we watch every year. (Because they have not taped since). I am planning to put this on around 8:00am, so that it will coincide with our sunrise here. I don't know about you, but just watching this phenomenon sends shivers up and down my spine. I love the anticipation of waiting for those rays of light to reach the chamber and illuminate the old stuff there.

Anyways... here is the link if anyone else is interested. http://www.newgrange.com/webcast.htm
