I was dealing with a mess... I have my babies in a kiddie pool.. the one from walmart with a built in slide.. well anyway.. I wash it out and then fill their mason jar feeder and put all fresh stuff in there .. nice and clean.. not 5 min later they have dug out all the food out of the feeder and it is empty and all over the pool floor.. makes a mess... so this time I stuck the entire feeder and set it in an old dog bowl.. they are a bit bigger now and can stand outside both and still stick their heads in and if they dont like that they will stand on the side of the dog bowl.. but guess what.. no mess all the feed is still good and in the dog bowl... I out smarted em... LOL so for the messy birds that play in their food.. try this one..

Yes, thank you. My chicks do the same thing. They are so funny to watch, but not so funny to watch all the food get wasted.[IMG]

Good idea. They sure will waste food if you let them.

Yes....outsmarted for the time being [IMG] but once they figure that one'll have to do it again. I wish I could enjoy one thing in life as much as they enjoy making messes

yeah, my Delightful Dozen were going through food like money for gas, when in the middle of the night I realized that even with all I had read, I had forgotten that I needed to raise the food to the level of their backs! The next morning, and with a little wire, we were set! And the amount of food "used" (read wasted), decreased by half!!!
