Some idiot dumped trash on my pasture yesterday!

Do I have any recourse? Should I post signs "no dumping/property under surveillance"? this is a LONG stretch of road I'd have to put up signs on.

We bought a motion sensor camera at Academy. It was $89 in the hunting section. Set it up on a tree or post, and it takes pics when there is movement. You can set it also to take video during the day and pics at night. It's pretty cool, and fairly inexpensive. I think it's made by Moultree or something like that. I hope you catch them. There's no excuse for this. Good luck.

We have that problem up here all the time and it makes so fryin mad!!!! they dump in the Mojave river bed, which is dry most of the time, so it stick out like a sore thumb!

You only have to put the sign at the entrance to the road, like when you get on the freeway at an onramp and there is a speedlimit sign. You don't have to post in between access roads, just where anyone entering the road can see it. Make sure you report the illegal dumping too, maybe the County can clean it up.

people are just jerks, they have no respect for anything anymore. It does not matter if it is theirs or someone elses. We have someone that stops at McDonald's every night or so on their way home, just to toss the bags and stuff out the car window on our road. It makes me so mad I would just like to shove those bags down their throat sideways.

For now, I'd just put up big signs saying road monitored, and just put some black boxes up in some trees with a magnifying glass though a hole incase they do look. If it persists, then go to real camera I guess, or do a camera every so far since a long road is hard to patrol.

Being off the edge of the highway in the city...

found a transient sleeping under a tree during snow one year

a transient encampment along a fence full of beer cans, clothes, pallets, and other trash

Constantly have tresspasssers... put up bright yellow smilie face print outs on areas where trash has been left to indicate that we did notice. Have had to put a smily face on the back of our garage because a ladder was propped up to one of the back windows... and now our property has brigh orange flagging tape draped left and right over paths that have been worn into the woods.... just to let them know someone is watching.

The ditches along the highway are filled with paper trash and there's even an orbital excercise machine of some sort tossed onto the edge of our property slowly rusting away.
