Some of my Bobs!!

They are pretty. I don't have bobs, so I can't talk about conformity, etc. I do love to listen to them, though. Always have, ever since I was a little girl.

i'd love to get some bobwhites! i remember waaay back in 7th grade science class that our teacher had a trio that he was trying to hatch their eggs in an incubator he had running in class. never got to see them hatch but it was neat to hear that male do his 'song'!

always had to get his last say in conversations and lessons too!

will you plan on selling hatching eggs from them eventually? if they are tame it sounds like they would be good for breeding some sweet little birds! (not taste wise, but temperament!)

What do you call them though?

SHES A STANDARD COLORED BOB WHITE... THAT PARTICULAR ONE IS CALLED COCOA
IN BOBS THERE ARENT A GIZILLION DIFFERENT COLOR LIKE YOU MAY BE USED TO WITH BUTTONS OR COTURNIX, JUST A FEW MUTATIONS THAT DIFFERENT COLORED. STANDARD COLORATION REALLY DOESNT HAVE A SPECIFIC NAME OTHER THAN BOB WHITE. IF YOU WANT A FANCY NAME YOU CAN CALL THEM COLINIUS VIRGINIANUS

They are NOT tame UNLESS you work with them as chicks. Where do you live? Eggs are $2.00 per egg.

Thanks

i'd love to get some eggs but i don't work well with a mechanical incubator and will have to wait for a hen to start going broody in January! (yes, my birds start their springtime VERY early!
