Some people are rude!

She said might get them today or tomorrow. That means I might get them today or I might get them on tomorrow. Either way, she will get them either day. She should have said I might get them without specifying a day and that would have meant that she may not get them. Specific days were specified.

If your place of employment said that you Might get paid on Monday or Tuesday, wouldn't you expect a check on either of those days? I would.

OH! i get what youre saying. So the "might" implicates that she WILL get them on one of those days, just not sure which. i see i see. i was interpreting it as both days were up in the air.

either way i dont think the seller should have taken the ad off craigslist with the possibility that they arent sold if it was going to ruin his day that much to have to make a new ad.

like the previous person said, i leave up the ad, and i tell two or three people "i have one person interested, if that falls through i will let you know" badda bing!

I agree with you. He should have left the ad up until cash was in hand. But............. at the same time, most people don't like getting tons of email from their ads, so they take it off at the first "bite" of a sell. Kinda like you're stuck if you do and you're stuck if you don't.

Hopefully, this will be a learning experience for both the seller and the interested buyer.

sometimes I'm rude. I don't mean to be . . . well once in a while I really do mean to be . . . but most of the time it's a result of my mouth working faster than my brain

Thats the way it is here too. The guy should have known better his fault and its his choice to relist the op never said they did not want them. They just wanted to change the pick up day. The guy was being rude imo.

Also the seller never addressed the two things the op sent to the seller about "will you hold them for me and/or take a deposit".....just his caps/ and !!!!! fit.

What about the people who live quite a distance? I would like to know the item will still be there when I arrive after an hour or 2 of driving. Gas is not cheap. Many times before setting out I call to make sure the item is still available and let them know I will be arriving in an hour and a half - 2 hrs. I would be some upset if someone local got there a half hour before me and bought my item.

If it was me something like the next day at 2pm after we talked and you explained the distance. If your not there at 2 I will call if no answer....I will probably move on.
