Some PIG!

thats a nice looking lil piggie.an you gave a fair price for him to boot.need to get you a gilt an breed her for your own piggies.

good job there Miss P. What a looker she is and yes, that was a good price. We gave twenty for our little ones but they were very small. Good grief, if my dh picked up one of ours(and he has)they scream like girls.

Do you have an electric wire around the pasture or do they just stay in there?

That's not a bad price on your little pig. He is cute too! My dh is off to pick up our four piglets tomorrow morning. We are raising one and raising three for some friends of the family for a small fee since they have no where to put a pig:D. My children are thrilled!

$40 for a 50 pound pig isn't bad at all in my opinion. I paid $60 a piece for two that were smaller than that one. One of mine died and the other has done just fine alone. She is four months old and weighs about 115 pounds. There is a formula for figuring weight without weighing the pig. You measure from behind the ears to the base of the tail, the girth behind the front legs and the girth in front of the back legs and multiply all three together and divide by 400. I have talked to several pig people and they said that this formula works pretty good.

Good luck with your pig!

what happened to the tamworths ?

I guess they promised more piglets than the sows dropped. After taking my order and repeated contacts they don't reply.
