Evalin has become a sweet bird and I really love her.

She really was 12 weeks old, probably even younger, like 8 weeks old when she arrived here. So wrong age for an easter chicken. Probably just another unwanted pet.

I had her in quarantine for 14 days before putting her in with the others that were similar in age to her. All of my chickens are treated with Horse wotrmer which lasts 6 months, so wouldn't catch the lice. After 10 days the treatment for the Cocci is through and 14 days is all the longer that I generally quarantine if a bird is still acting healthy for that long. Just my old timer approach to it.

I have been raising chickens for 10 years and have a ton of experience with rescued chickens.
