My name is Candace and I too am a Chick-a-holic. *applause*
You are not alone in your disease Laurie, however there is no cure.
Some of you may recognize these symptoms.
Symptoms include heart palpitations (upon hearing cheeping), sweaty palms, excessive salivation (prompted by visual stimulation of anything chicken related) and tic's in the neck often refered to as head bobbing.
Sufferers fantasize several times daily about chicks, chickens and egg color often neglecting their job and family.
Sufferers MUST acquire chicks annually and often will acquire chicks throughout the year, hording the excess in unlikely spots, such as under the bed, behind the toilet and yes even in the oven.
Sufferers have been known to go into debt in order to purchase new shiny coops with all the amenities. Top of the line incubators, brooders and shiny nest boxes can be found at the sufferers residence, yet they often dress in shabby attire often stained with chicken poo, feathers decorate their hair and clothing and often an unusual and often unpleasant odor accompanies them.
Post pictures so we may properly encourage you on your path to true chickenism!
