The little fuzz butts (doesn't matter what kind they are) are completely addicting! I'm almost scared to get my bator back out in Feb. really. But just can't wait all at the same time!
But after all, what else is there to do in the winter but check eggs, feed babies, and clean cages
I have 12 weeks old frizzles in a brooder in the garage, 4 weeks old standard cochins and two week old silkies in another brooder in the bathroom from my first staggered hatch, and eggs from The Farmers Wife (which arrived perfectly packed) in the incubator in my spare bedroom- veining nicely after candling last night! You may be crazy, but you aren't the only one (I keep saying that to myself)
My hubby is NOT buying the "business" excuse. I have silkie and duck eggs due this week. DH does not know about the duck eggs. (He doesn't look in the bator) I don't think he will accept the stork idea! So I am in the same boat and its sinking fast
