I actually recorded a 5 minute ride with Ms. Spider. You can see how I kept looking at her and did a double take when she zipped up a thread of her web to hang on to the top of the tractor. I've had spiders leap on me, though. Gotta remember to keep my mouth closed!

One time when we were driving out back I noticed that there was a spider on a web over the side mirror on the car. I was watching it and one of those annoying yellow flies flew up to the mirror and landed on the web and the spider pounced on it and within maybe a second it had the bug wrapped up and in a minute it had the bug pulled up to the edge of the mirror under the lip where it could safely eat the bug. It was awesome to watch, kinda like the time I picked up a jumping spider and saw a little gnat on the windowsill and I put the spider down and it jumped on the gnat. I am not afraid of spiders, but I am glad they are not big enough to eat us.

Spiders really hate me. I frequently when I'm sitting on our porch swing find small ones dangling in front of my face, swat them away... only to find them back in exactly the same position a few seconds later. Probably spun some web down from my forehead or perhaps the top of the swing.

When you are a farm girl you gotta deal with spiders in your hair and poop on your feet. We've got what we call Grand-daddy-long-leg spiders which wander around, and if you sit still long enough they'll wander all over you!

DDL I can handle

It's the big ol Widow sitting in the garage watching me watch her (to make sure I pass by her without getting pounced on) while she tends to a vicitm. Or the wolf spiders that come flying out at you in the shop that hasn't been occupied for a couple years. EEEWWWWW
