Someone dropped this rooster off!

In the middle of the night, some time ago, someone left this rooster at my coop! He had an injured leg...what breed of chicken is he?

He appears to be an Easter Egger or (backyard cross). Probably under a year old based on what I can make out of his spurs.

Were you actually able to see/feel the injury to the leg before he recovered? Or was it just limping that eventually went away?

His injury was terrible but not new. He never regained use of it other than to use it for balance sometimes. Later, we had a weasel come to our coop and inflict similar injuries so we suspect he had been attacked by a weasel and then because he was damaged was abandoned by his owner.
