Someone found a chicken and gave it to me

Umm my partner just noticed it looks kike its spurs have been filed down or cut off??

The red arrow is pointing to the “spur” and you can clearly see a toenail on it.

That is not an uncommon practice but it was probably done to this bird to make him look more like a hen.

The lady who handed him over said she found it behind her house now.. im thinking back and i seen the way she was holding his legs lile she knew how to handle chickens.. and he seemed really friendly towards her but when he got here he was biting and scared

Maybe she would be willing to adopt him. Unless she did this to him.

this is the pictures she sent to me.. why is the chicken so calm on her lap if it was found and why is it so calm around a dog.. hmmm.. i should question her about this

There are fruit trees in the picture of the chicken found.. but the place she said she found him was not even close to any kind of fruit trees it was a suburban area.. i looked into her facebook profile and found photos of a fruit farm..

Do you know if this woman has chickens on her property? If she does have other chickens she may have gotten fed up with trying to rehome him and decided to improvise.

I have no idea her facebook profile is really private i see a photo of a farm with a tractor and 2 cows, but no chickens
