Someone gotta warn us Newbies that chicks sleep like THIS:

I am laughing so hard right now! I agree with the first post.

Someone should warn us. We got our first day old chicks last week.

I was the first one up and what I saw scared me to death.

I was in tears thinking I KILLED THEM ALL!! I got everyone in the house up. It's been a week and I still go in there to shake their box just to make sure.

OMG that is so adorable. I had forgotten some of their sleeping scares. Rule of thumb....always check for a pulse before you panic.

I have sent myself into heart palpatations seeing them just suddenly fall over from a standing position, lying on their sides not moving and fuzzy butts in the air with the head in the feeder.

Warning: They will roll over onto their backs too and that will freak you out. LOL

More than once have I thought a new chick hadn't made it, just to see it pop up, and look around like nothing was wrong

I am laughing so hard! My poor babies would be sleeping so peacefully and I'd wake them up just to make sure they weren't dead.I did it all the first week,cuz you never can tell
