Someone has it in for me or my pets....

If acceptable "having fun" means killing animals, this officer needs FIRED! Or perhaps HIS KIDS are responsible, being raised with that attitude!

This is just so sad, I am very sorry for you and your poor animals! I know how you feel about lack of police support and effort. My town is the same way. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if something serious went down, would they even show then? I hope you find out what is going on, and good luck with your move--maybe that is the best answer to your situation.

I also agree with you Okie Amazon; the "kids having fun" thing---that is just sick!!

If the local police will not look into it, go higher up. Call the county or state and tell them what is happening. Call the local news stations and talk to the reporters. Something is off if they are not investigating crimes like you describe--that kitten's death was horrible!

In the meantime, do not let the animals out at all. Do get and use the cameras. Maybe set up an alarm system that will trigger inside your house so you know when someone is out in your yard.

This is HORRIBLE. I can't imagine what you are going through. I hope you find an answer soon. The cameras are a great idea. just don't tell anyone they are out there. I would hate that you have another loss, but I would hate for it to stop because someone knows about the cameras and you not get who is doing this.

Really, this just horrifies me for you.

O. M. G. Maybe you need to tell that officer that Jeffrey Dahmer had that kind of fun as a child, too. If the cops won't do what they should, the press should be involved.

So did Edmund Kemper. He graduated to college coeds. His sisters suspected him because the mutilated corpses of young girls that showed up bore an eerie resemblance to what had happened to the family pets.

So did you get your dog back?

Hope nothing else has happend

You have a right to file a police report each and every time there's an incident. If they refuse to take it, tell them you'll call the Attorney Generals Office and the Feds and will file a formal complaint against their PD for not doing their job.

It is their responsibility to look into the matter - regardless of how ill staffed they may be!

It is their responsibility to protect it's citizens - regardless of how "innocent" they think the act may be! It's called harassment and it's against the law!!

What they're doing to your animals is called animal cruelty and that's also against the law!!!

There's a sociopath running loose in that town and it's their responsibility to track him/her down.

Also, if this is a child - teenager - underage person - doing all this, the PARENTS need to be held accountable for their little heathens act of vandalism. There needs to be restitution for the damage done (vet bills, ads you've run to track your dog down, repairs made due to damage, etc) I don't care if it's the Mayor's kid. I don't care if it's a policeman's kid. Whoever this may be, they need their hiney's kicked into next year!

You're feeling threatened. That's the bottom line. The PD can either get it together and do something about this or they can be left open for a lawsuit. (hint at that as well)
