Someone just made a "drive-thru" out of our post office.

Thankfully no one was hurt.

But it wrecked the post office.

Poor little old lady meant to back out of her parking
spot and had it in the wrong gear. Drove right through
the brick wall, into the lobby.

I wouldn't of thought she could build that much speed so
quick.

Another post someone was asking what is a good car to buy?
That little Ford went through a brick wall and the lady still drove
it home, hardly a dent.

Ford Tough.

Well, that gives a new perspective to purchasing a car driven by a little old lady from Pasadena.

Wow! All too familiar. A few years ago my grandmother did that to a beauty salon! Her daughters sat her down not long after that and convinced her that it was time to stop driving. More running around for the rest of us but I didn't mind and it was much safer for the rest of the community.

Someone tried to do that to a convenience store near here a while back. Fortunately for me, she didn't succeed - there were reinforced concrete pillars to prevent that sort of thing. The reason it was fortunate for me, is that I was walking out of the store at the time, and she would have had a good shot at running me over. The driver's flip flop got caught on the gas pedal somehow; not a good shoe choice for driving!

Never been into an accident however, plenty of stories about people going thru resturaunts and gas stations and two I know of are schools. Is it mostly elderly people that does that?

That was the topic on talk radio yesterday.

I worked with a woman that drove through a bedroom at her apt building. Thankfully no one was hurt. We never let her live that down. Still make me chuckle to think about it.

And a woman drove through my vet's office, several years ago.

Neither of those cases were elderly.
