Someone tell me about Mille Fleur chickens

You pretty much convinced me, getting my eggs tomorrow, cant pass on some free chickens:)

Gah! I'm looking for mille Fleur d'uccle hatching eggs. I think they are so pretty. I believe mille Fleur is just a color though because I have a pair of what appear to be mille Fleur game birds

Since nobody actually gave the correct answer to the original post, Mille Fleur is a color pattern. Mille Fleur is recognized in D'Uccle and Booted, and I believe Old English Game Bantams as well. Other breeds that are fairly popular in Mille Fleur but not recognized are Leghorn (in large fowl) and Cochin bantams.

Actually, I did.

"Mille Fleur D'Uccles are nice birds. :) They will go broody, and lay a fair number of eggs. Gorgeous, too."

D'Uccles are commonly referred to as Mille Fleurs, but that is a reference to color, not breed. D'Uccles come in mottled, porcelain, mille fleur, white, black, self blue, and golden neck. They are good moms and lay pretty well. Some hatcheries that call them Mille Fleurs:

I believe Ideal calls D'Uccles "Mille Fleurs" as well.

Good luck with the eggs!
