Something ate my chickens leg. Should I cull it?

I’m under the impression feathers bleed if you cut them to short.
Only if they are new pin feathers.
Edges of wound need to be clean of feathers so you can see the healing and keep it clean and moist.

One of my chickens was hopping when I went out. His leg is gone. Theres a gaping hole i can see his inside body cavity and he smells like death and decay but he’s acting like he’s fine other then hopping and the missing parts. I tried to get a picture but it doesn’t look so bad in the picture. View attachment 1950274

Out her down!! I feel so bad!! She's beautiful!!

She’s pretty much fully recovered. She does live in the house now, but I take her outside with me on nice days. She stays real close and follows me around the yard.
