Something eating my roosters feathers?!

I have a 19 month old rooster who looked like a stunner, at first he started losing feathers on his legs which i thought was normal.
It has been well over a month now and no signs of any new feathers also it looks as though something is eating the feather as some of his feathers are just quill!
He is losing them from his neck under his wing but they all seem to be eaten away by something as im sure this isnt molt?

Hmm I think that breed is meant to be like that if u look on youtube u will find other fighting rooster like that.

I think i know what you mean but my bird is not like them breeds. As it was fully feathered before

I have seen my hens pick the beards off each other EE’s and Salmon Faverolles. And saw my hens pecking one of the roos wattles till he was bleeding and he let them. I had to put blue kote on his wattles to keep them from keeping it up. I added extra protein to see if that helped using dried mealworms and small dog kibble and so far it’s working.

This my Aseel rooster my hen did this much damage in two days. My hen plucked all of my roosters neck and chest feathers

If you can get blue kote to cover that I would because if they draw blood that roo will be in trouble.

Check at night when the birds are roosting. It could be mites. Some only come out at night and feed on the birds when they are roosting. I use a headlamp so I have my hands free to inspect. Good luck...
