He is gorgeous! they look so funny when they molt especially when the roos lose those gorgeous tail feathers. I even have a few chickens that are almost naked when they molt. Big Red will get his tail feathers back. Here is Red watching over the peas! He just lost his long tail feather recently but I assume it will come back. Ignore the weeds, unfortunately that is a lot of the green we get but when mowed down who the heck cares?
Yes, it is so pretty and it makes mine look like a slum! Because, actually it does look like a slum, but it's functional. Good thing that nobody can see it and there isn't anything behind us but fields, woods and various critters that cause havoc! That is beautiful and so clean and green how do you do it?
what is that tree that is enclosed in the other picture? That is my gazebo that they love to hang out on the porch. That would be a good looking coop though. Mine is not that cute. And theirs certainly is not anywhere remotely that cute. This is my coop and run. It is a bad angle so it looks smaller than it actually is
Does your lemon grass stay out all winter? I have a really big plant but I heard that it won't winter in our climate but your's is much colder so I'm wondering.I planted bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, sweet potatoes, sugar snap peas, 2 different kinds of cucumbers and 3 kinds of lettuce. I wanted to do more but I ran out of money and want to. I do also have tons of lemongrass, citronella and lavender around my patio area since the mosquitos are horrible. We also have some mulberry trees that we eat off of, the fallen ones keep the deer happy so I am hoping they stay more on that part of our property and away from my garden boxes. My boxes are spread out since I have very few flat areas that get good sunshine on this mountain
Yep, mine even spread. I'm not sure what to do with it though.I have lemon balm and that stuff you couldn’t kill for nothing!
This is my first year in Maryland with the lemongrass so I am not sure if I will be bringing it in or not. In Texas I left it out year round and would insulate with straw in the winter but here I have no clue.Does your lemon grass stay out all winter?
