As mentioned, those look like fly eggs. Fly eggs and maggots do happen extremely fast. And yes, they stick well. Please please get them off as best you can before they hatch. Maggots will basically eat him alive. See if you can get an insecticide on him. Sorry I don’t know what though. In dogs and cats with maggots they can get a capstar (it’s for fleas but helps kill maggots) and apply frontline or something. Hopefully the chicken-medical-minded can help.
 
I’ve only seen maggots when they were fat and white, these must be freshly laid.
 
Yes. Mostly. I’m afraid they might be deeper in wounds or in his sinuses.
