Something you wish had been invented in chicken keeping.

Haha... You see. I don't get an allowance, I'm broke! I'm in the process of scrapping up BD money. Don't get me wrong, I do chores, but its my role in the family, so I don't need money for it I guess.
So you're too young to get a job(even babysitting or mowing lawns)...
...and your parents have paid for everything chicken??
Better just learn to use what you already have then.
 
The idea of using a snow shovel to scoop out under the roosts sound like a great idea. I use a dog poop shovel to get the little piles under the roosts about once a week, then shovel out whole henhouse every two months. I have a small coop and only six hens so not a big chore. I also use a horse stall "Dry" granular substance under the roosts. It helps! Good luck and don't let family member tell you not to get a pitch fork unless they want to do the job!

Good idea, I'm good at mowing lawns, never miss a spot on our 5 acres. If only the people around here let other people do things for them... I can work on it.
